One Last RV Trip Before Shoulder Surgery!

My husband and I own an RV. I love to drive my RV. We have a Gulfstream Mini Vista Cruiser. It's a Class C...the kind with the bed over the cab. We like to head for some Florida sunshine during late January/early February of each year. That's the off-season when the theme parks aren't filled up with vacationing school kids. Prices are more reasonable, too.
We didn't plan a road trip this year due to my upcoming surgery. Also, I'd just had oral surgery and was still recovering from that. Things start to fall apart after you're fifty -- I needed to seize the day! I was feeling pretty sparky so I said to my husband, "Let's go." "Go where?" "Florida, in the RV." "Are you nuts? What about your shoulder?" "I won't be able to drive it for months...I can't wreck it anymore than it's already wrecked...let's go!" "Okay."
That was Sunday, January 25th and we were on the road with the boys by Saturday, January 31st. Best cup of fresh-squeezed orange juice at the Florida border ever! I enjoyed every minute of our trip -- made memories by the bucketful. So glad I didn't hesitate...shoulder surgery recovery is gonna last a long time...
